One day soon opera will make a comeback, and now's as good of a time as any to get your start. With the opera being declared the place to be on a recent episode of Gossip Girl, it's only a matter of time before the young and the beautiful start heading to the opera like it's 1799. Luckily The Dallas Opera is giving you a chance to exercise your operatic chops this weekend as it closes out its 2008-2009 season with The Italian Girl in Algiers from Gioachino Rossini, the man who brought us classics like The Barber of Seville and William Tell.
