You made that New Year's resolution your beeyotch, didn't you? Your plan to lose weight was an overwhelming success, and you've never felt better--job well done, friend. So treat yourself to a few extra-chocolatey calories at Grapevine's Fifth Annual Chocolate Fest. No, I'm not trying to sabotage your efforts (mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha...). The festival spills over into two days worth of indulgence, so even the biggest sweet tooth in DFW should be able to get his or her fill (and, subsequently, might need a fill at the local dentist's office). An Evening of Chocolate and Wine will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at La Buena Vida Vineyards and will include chocolate tasting, wine sampling, live music and a souvenir wineglass to keep. The next day the Palace Arts Center and Lancaster Theatre will host A Day of Chocolate and Art from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include chocolate tasting, an art exhibit and sale, and live music. Tickets can be ordered in advance through Thursday at grapevinetexasusa.com, under the Festivals and Events tab. Go on, skinny, get your chocolate on!
