Being a rock star comes naturally to you. You're all about windmills, headbanging and breaking stuff. You're the king of stage dives, the world's fastest autograph signer and the life of all the after-parties. But you're also 8 years old, so you don't exactly have a stage to dive off of, and the whole "band" thing hasn't quite happened. But if you could just learn to play guitar, you know you'd be the next Mick Jagger--once you grow up a little, anyway. At least you're invited to one party. Zounds Sounds Music School and Studios is throwing a big bash from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday for the grand opening of their new location at 620 Haggard St., Suite 600 in Plano. You can check out their sweet new digs while students and staff put on a live rock 'n' roll show. Free food from Platinum Catering and fun activities are promised. Before you get into party mode you might take them up on their offer of free 15-minute guitar lessons for early arrivals. There will even be a live raffle for the chance to win a free guitar. It's a long way to the top, and you have to start somewhere, kid. Visit zounds-sounds.com for more info.
