Even though 450,000 spring flowers are in bloom at the Dallas Arboretum, don't go questioning your green thumb skills. After all, they are professionals. Bring your kids, your camera and your Claritin (ahhh-choo!) to this year's Easter Extravaganza and 25th Annual Bloom Festival at the Dallas Arboretum. Check your blossom-planting, garden-pruning pride at the door and enjoy a sea of red, blue, purple and yellow flowers. From Friday through Sunday, this horticultural heaven will offer spectacular views, live music, a silhouette artist, a petting zoo and more. On Saturday and Sunday, the Easter Bunny will be on site to take pictures with the kiddos. The Web site doesn't say anything about candy, which, depending on your age, could make or break the appeal of this Easter event, but hey, at least they aren't handing out toothbrushes. The Arboretum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and is located at 8525 Garland Road. General admission is $9.50 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and older and $6 for children 3-12. For more information, call 214-515-6500 or visit dallasarboretum.org.
