Ron White, the hard-drinkin', hard-livin', foul-mouthed comedian, is the highlight of the Blue Collar Comedy collaboration, making it (almost) worth your time to sit through a Jeff Foxworthy routine. White, also known as Tater Salad, saunters into the spotlight with a scotch in one hand and a cigar in the other, launching into his signature I-don't-give-a-fuck monologue with a story about being kicked out of a bar or being drunk or being stupid. And the best thing about Ron White is that he's the kind of guy who could just be sitting at the end of the bar, regaling the bartenders with a story about any one of those things and making you laugh until Miller Lite comes out of your nose. His appeal isn't necessarily in his blue-collar, Everyman roots. It's more about his enviable quest to live exactly the way he wants to, with no apologies to anyone. This is the man who once said, "I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade. And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka and have a party." Perhaps that's not the sagest advice, but it's better than "You might be a redneck if..." Ron White performs at the Majestic Theatre, 1925 Elm St., at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. Friday, and 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $44.75. Visit liveatthemajestic.com.
