As an art student, you just want your work to be seen. And sure, it's great if the student at the next easel or podium really digs your style, but it would be a bit more validation if someone out of your class schedule appreciated those creative efforts. And so, the H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery at El Centro College presents Other Voices: An Exhibition Featuring the Visual Fine Art Studio Students of El Centro College. The juried show features installation, ceramics, painting and more and culminates in a closing reception/awards presentation from 4 to 6 p.m. May 7. The gallery, 801 Main St., is open weekdays, which allows ample time for the public to stop in, gaze and quietly applaud this year's students. Visit elcentrocollege.edu.
