More About

You might have seen modern blues icon Robert Cray open for Eric Clapton once or twice. You might even own a copy of his 1986 hit record, Strong Persuader. Perhaps you even play one of his signature-model Fender Stratocasters. But did you know he started out in a band called Steakface? Go ahead and let that sink in. Steakface. S-T-E-A-K-F-A-C-E. Some 40 years later, he's still playing with the much less awesomely monikered Robert Cray Band, touring the world and recording albums when he's not at home polishing his five Grammys (he's been nominated for 11). See the man behind Steakface when the Robert Cray Band performs this Friday at the Glass Cactus, 1501 Gaylord Trail in Grapevine. Tickets are $25. The show starts at 8 p.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
