The sun is beaming down on you, and out of the corner of your eye you see your teammate setting up the ball--you jump up into the air and come crashing down with a hard spike on the volleyball. It sails over the net and hits the ground on the opposing side. The whole crowd cheers, and you are the hero. This is the type of action you will witness, or might even experience at Spikefest, the largest amateur grass volleyball tournament. This year the folks at Spikefest have decided to throw in two tour dates to satisfy all you volleyball fanatics. The bumping kicks off this Saturday and Sunday at Parkhill Park (5100 S. Robinson Road in Grand Prairie) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and makes it second stop the weekend of June 27 and 28. For more information, visit spikefest.com or e-mail info@spikefest.com.
