The last time I saw George Clinton, he was a lackadaisical participant on CMT's reality show Gone Country 3. Apparently Clinton was interested in becoming America's next big country music star? He was up against the likes of Tara Conner (2006 Miss USA reject), Sheila E. and American Idol's Justin Guarini. And the country theme rubbed off on Clinton's new tour...OK, I can't even finish that joke. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic are hitting Dallas, and, lucky for us, they're funkier than ever. Clinton, a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer as of 1997, is one of the most sampled musicians in history and has worked with tons of artists including 2Pac, OutKast, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Carlos Santana. Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will be at the House of Blues in Dallas on May 4. Call 214-978-BLUE for more information.
