"Bokeh" is a photographic technique derived from the Japanese term for "blur" or "haze," specifically referring to when the background and edges of a photo are blurred to make the subject stand out. A new exhibit at Kettle Art, Bokeh: The Edge Is Completely Undefined, showcases this technique and several local photogs that practice it, including Crimson Allen, Ange Fitzgerald, Jordan Fraker, Shanda Kerr and Misty Maberry, whose close-up photos of grass will have you flashing back to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. See it all through Saturday at Kettle Art, 2714 Elm St. Gallery hours are 7 to 10 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. Visit kettleart.com.
