A word of warning from someone who Etsy Dallas'ed last fall: When you set foot in the Etsy Dallas Spring Bash, take a deep breath. Have plenty of cash on hand, but be careful. More than 50 booths will evoke reactions ranging from, "Oh wow! I've so been looking for one of these!" to "I should totally get this for [name] for [occasion]!" Just stay calm. Do not buy immediately. Make a full circuit before buying anything over $2. Then make a second loop and go effing hog-wild because these are local artisans, people! Buy it all! Recession what?! Etsy equals awesome jewelry, soap, candles, clothing and just plain stuff. Shopping is good, friends. Go hard from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at South Side on Lamar. Admission is free, so bring cash for the Girl Scout make-n-take booth, The Vanity Stand photo fun, raffle and La Reunion non-profit. For more info, visit etsydallas.com.
