Chef, instructor and cookbook author Terry Thompson-Anderson knows a dish or two about Texas eating. If her highly praised Texas on the Plate isn't proof enough, her Central Market Texas Tastemakers class focusing on the Hill Country should be. In it, Thomson-Anderson will discuss Lone Star ingredients for locavores (or stateavores, perhaps) and those looking to eat and cook with products originating a little closer to home...without, you know, actually growing anything. The menu for Monday's class (6:30 to 9 p.m.) spans savory to sweet, so you'll get your $65 worth. Central Market is located at Lovers Lane and Greenville Avenue. Call 214-361-5754 to register.
