Fudge-covered, peanut butter-filled pretzels in vanilla malt ice cream rippled with fudge and peanut butter: This is the description of Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby ice cream. As much as I like frozen confections, I think sometimes Ben and Jerry are just trying too hard. Give me the simple richness of a pint of Haagen-Dazs vanilla bean. Whichever end of the ice-cream spectrum you're on--simplicity or crazy casserole of flavors--you can learn to tailor the sweet treat to your tastes at Williams-Sonoma's All About Ice Cream class at 11 a.m. Sunday at NorthPark Center, 8687 N. Central Expressway. Admission is free, but please RSVP to 214-378-6216.
