We Hope They Get. This. Job!

The longest-running American musical--original run or revival, we don't care--just has something about it. Something that gets you tense, nervous, excited. When 17 Broadway dancers step up for an audition, they're ready to show their talent...but are they ready to show themselves--down and dirty, emotional and raw--to get the part? Audiences, for years, have gritted their collective teeth, clenched their fists and hoped right along with Cassie, Richie, Val, Maggie, Paul, Bobby and the others as they remember being "At the Ballet," "Sing!" and calculate "Dance: Ten, Looks: Three," before only eight of them can become "One Singular Sensation." It's the memoir and short story collection of Broadway, and it's awesome. A Chorus Line runs 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through July 19 at the Music Hall at Fair Park as part of the Dallas Summer Musicals. Tickets are $20 to $85. Call 214-373-8000 or visit ticketmaster.com.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: July 7. Continues through July 19, 2009
