Dirt Nasty has become something of a YouTube sensation with his absurdly profane lyrics and equally ridiculous videos. Although his given name, Simon Rex, may not be immediately familiar to most, he's probably been in at least a few movies you've seen. Or perhaps you remember his stint as a VJ on MTV in the '90s?

The Dirt Nasty persona is Rex's rapping alter ego, which ultimately comes off as an inspired joke—not a parody so much as an embracing of a subculture while personifying a playful yet wry caricature of its trashiest excesses. Dirt Nasty has toured with the likes of Mickey Avalon, a good friend of Rex's who happens to be, of course, one of the trashiest, most schlocky acts around.
