Unnecessary Fart...whoops! I mean Farce. Either way, they both have something in common: a good laugh. The differences? Smell and the obvious fact that one is a bodily function, while Unnecessary Farce is, in fact, a play. Set in two adjoining rooms in a cheap motel, a crooked mayor meets with the town's female accountant while two inexperienced cops try their hand at unraveling an embezzlement scheme the mayor may be involved in. But when things get sticky, the mayor and the embezzled money may not be the only ones to tango in this hilarious comedy. Could the mafia be involved and who really took the money? Written by Paul Slade Smith, Unnecessary Farce runs Thursday to August 2 at the Addison Theatre Centre, 15650 Addison Road in Addison. Tickets range from $25 to $40 and can be purchased from the box office by calling 972-450-6232. For more information on show times or to purchase tickets online, visit watertowertheatre.org.
