Craig Nelson, the award-winning historian and author of Rocket Men: The Epic Story of the First Men on the Moon, tells the heroic story of the space race and the Apollo 11. The former vice president and editor of Harper & Row, Hyperion, and Random House will be in Dallas from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Frontiers of Flight Museum promoting his new book and commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Apollo and the first men on the moon. Nelson's in-depth research, skillful detail and rich narrative will leave you dreaming of watching the Eagle land and Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon. The museum's moon-landing anniversary event also features a former NASA flight controller Marianne Dyson, Ron "Starman" DiIulio of the UNT planetarium, rocket-building lessons by the Dallas Area Rocket Society, displays and demonstrations by Texas Astronomical Society and artifacts from the Tim Anthony Jackson Collection.
