Ever since the first episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus aired on our own KERA back in 1974, the silliness has caught on like the plague. If you are one of the millions who can't get enough Python, then here is an event that will do a silly walk all over your heart. The third annual Monty Python Madness Charity Festival in Grapevine has a whole cheese shop full of Python-oriented events to keep you happy. On Friday and Saturday there will be screenings of Monty Python & the Holy Grail and Life of Brian outdoors at the Cotton Belt Train Depot. Also, in-store at sponsor The British Emporium, there will be tea and biscuits served while fans vote for their fave Python sketches. Plus there's a live "argument clinic," and live performances of some of the funniest Python sketches. It all benefits the Joey Wilkins Foundation for individuals with spinal cord injuries. For details, visit Montypython.Britishemporium.com.
Thursdays, 8:30 p.m. Starts: July 16. Continues through July 31, 2009
