Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

Traditionally, the term "lucky stiff" refers to some average a-hole who finds himself in a suddenly fortuitous situation, liking winning the lotto or bedding some beautiful dame who's way out of his league (all of this starts to make a lot more sense if you talk about it in a 1930s radio announcer voice, FYI.) Will shoe salesman Harry Witherspoon--the protagonist of the play Lucky Stiff--strike it rich when his wealthy uncle kicks the bucket? You'll have to see the play to find out. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through August 2 at the Runway Theatre, 215 N. Dooley St. in Grapevine. Tickets are $15, $12 for students and seniors. Call 817-488-4842 or visit runwaytheatre.com.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m. Starts: July 10. Continues through Aug. 2, 2009
