As an adult with a two-and-a-half-year-old niece and no children of my own, I dig The Wiggles. Compared with the awkward questions of Dora and the goofy voice of Barney, I'm down with the real humans having fun. Along with Gustafer Yellowgold and Yo Gabba Gabba!, they're making the baby-sitting world a less insane place for grown-ups. The Wiggles, in particular, have long since reached back to old pop tracks (take Split Enz's "Six Months in a Leaky Boat" covered on Wiggly Wiggly World, for instance) and welcomed guest stars parents can get on board with (their latest hit, "Monkey Man," features Aussie star Kylie Minogue). The good news is The Wiggles are coming--in their brightly colored shirts, no less--to Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie Saturday for some live fun. Bring roses for Dorothy the Dinosaur, bring bones for Wags the Dog and yell "Wake up, Jeff!" when you-know-who falls asleep onstage (roses and bones will be collected in the audience throughout the show). Check out The Wiggles on their Go Bananas Live! Tour (and bring some books to donate to Reach Out and Read) and parents, it'll probably be a kid concert you won't hate! Shows are at 1 and 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $21 to $41. Call 214-373-8000 or visit ticketmaster.com (as well as wiggletime.com).
