Lunching with History

Honestly, we are poor military historians, so what little we know about the Dallas Artillery Company--which eventually became Battery A of the Texas National Guard's 133rd Field Artillery Unit--comes courtesy of intense Googling. Luckily for you, local historian Ed Owens knows quite a bit more than we do, seeing as how he sits on the staff of the Dallas Historical Society and all. See him speak on the subject 12 p.m. Wednesday in the Creative Center of the Clampitt Paper headquarters, 9207 Ambassador Row. Don't forget a lunch, as this event is part of the Historical Society's Brown Bag lecture series. RSVP at 214-421-4500, ext. 104 or by e-mailing booking@dallashistory.org.
