More About

How do you cope with loss? Do you wear black and cover the mirrors? Do you sit shivah? Do you trap your husband's soul in a box after he dies trying to save a baby from a burning building? Yeah, that does seem rare. But in Noah Haidle's Vigils, that's exactly what one wife does. Meanwhile, her beloved fireman's body is wandering around with no direction--because, well, his soul is trapped in a box. The issue is not only the soul torture, but what the wife will do when another man enters her troubled life. Find out when Kitchen Dog Theater presents Vigils 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays (with 2 p.m. performances Sundays, September 20 and October 4, and 8 p.m. performances Wednesdays, September 23 and October 7) at McKinney Avenue Contemporary, 3120 McKinney Ave. Tickets are $30 for Friday's opening night performance and $15 to $25 otherwise.
