Cafe Canine

My granny used to carry her pug dog in her purse when the family went out to restaurants. Peeking a smushed nose and snout from the bag, Puggy would nibble bits of food, and the family was fully prepared to start coughing and barking if the dog got too excited. The French have the right idea, letting dogs enjoy the dining experience alongside their owners, but if you try it in America people tend to start fussing--some problem with health code violations. American dogs don't know what they are missing (unless they have French canine friends) but Cesar Bistro is offering them the opportunity to find out. The Cesar Bistro "Share the Love" tour is coming to dog parks across the Dallas area, offering small dogs the chance to sample their gourmet dog food in an intimate, bistro-style dining environment. You still can't eat with them, but bring your dog out to sample the good life at Griggs Park, located at 2200 Hugo St. Free samples from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., while supplies last. Visit cesar.com/events for more information.
