Muddy WaterBy Carli BaylorPublished on September 25, 2009 at 12:40amMark Twain may be rolling over in his grave, but it's not the kind of rolling that most would assume is because of insult--he's busting out his dance moves for the opening of Big River at Theatre Arlington. A Tony award-winning musical based on Twain's classic The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Big River will have play enthusiasts reminiscing about their childhood days of mischief and revelry. Audiences will get a history lesson through the production's pre-Civil War setting and enjoy catchy tunes written by Roger Miller, composer of well-known songs such as "King of the Road." Who knows, maybe audience members will bust a move right along with Twain. Big River is set to run through October 18. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Ticket prices vary. For more information, call 817-275-7661 or visit theatrearlington.org.
