With the weather finally cooling off, outdoor exercise is possible again without worrying about a heat stroke. Every year, people have the chance to choose from hundreds of walkathons, but how many allow dogs to participate also? The 19th annual AIDS LifeWalk and LifeBark is back to benefit HIV/AIDS prevention and services in Dallas. Following the walk, participants are invited to Lee Park for a festival featuring live music, concessions vendors and a kids' area with a bounce house, balloon clown and face painting. Participants are encouraged to bring their canine friends to join the cause. The walkathon will take place at Lee Park, 3400 Turtle Creek Blvd., on Sunday with registration at noon. The festival will last until 6 p.m. and the registration fee is $30, which includes a LifeWalk T-shirt. Registration fee for pets is $10, which includes a LifeBark bandana.
