Strung Out, Lower Class Brats, Nations Afire, Saboteur

Saturday, October 3, at the Granada Theater

Going on 20 years together as a band, Strung Out has been able to make its metallic pop-punk work wonders. Already claiming seven full-lengths, two non-LP collections, one live album and two EPs, the band is promoting its latest release, Agents of the Underground, with its current string of tours.

Definitely expect turbo-charged drumbeats and crunchy guitars, along with gut-punching melodies from this five-piece. And while certain ardent fans may prefer material from the band's stunning second and third albums (Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues and Twisted By Design, respectively), the band has managed to keep its sound fresh all this time.

Nations Afire, which features former members of Rise Against and Ignite, opens along with Austin's own Lower Class Brats and Dallas' own Saboteur.
