Moving Off-Screen

Dressed to kill and in high heels that did, I tore up the ballroom--actually, more of a tacky country club buried in the woods of Red River Redneck County--at my high school's senior prom about five years ago. The Cha-Cha Slide never looked so good. "Mambo No. 5" never felt so hip. I had the grace. I had the charisma. I had the moves to be a star. Since then, a few new steps have been added to my repertoire (I can Stanky Legg and crank that Soulja Boy along with the best of them), but these meager dances hardly compare to the range of routines and talent that the top 10 finalists in So You Think You Can Dance? are bringing to the Nokia Theater on Wednesday. Whether you are mesmerized by the lyrical style of Kupono Aweau or sent into a trance by Janette Manrara's salsa steps, you're sure to enjoy a little bit of everything. Tickets start at $39. For more information and tickets call 800-745-3000 or visit fox.com/dance.
