So you've promised my life will change forever. All I have to do is attend a creepy event on Halloween night at the Adolphus Hotel, 1320 Commerce St. This is the hotel you've also just described to me as "famously haunted." So I'm listening, but also scared. And that's exactly where the "Haunting and Healing" event organizers want me to be. Throughout Halloween weekend, four paranormal experts will be on-hand during an event designed to entertain, scare and heal you with charms and magic. A haunted man will teach you to avoid demons. A clairvoyant will work out your energy kinks. Folks from Fort Worth known as "rescuers of lost spirits" will teach you how to quell demonic activity in your home (if you're worried about such). Now that you know a bit more about the event, I'll share with you the promise they made to me: "Warning! This is not just an ordinary event. What happens here has the power to change your life forever!" Tickets are $20 in advance, $30 at the door. Shows run 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visit hauntingandhealing.com.
