Puddle In the Back Seat

Stories about the Hook Man, Bloody Mary and the spirits of children who haunt the local railroad tracks scared the bejesus out of me as a kid. The best kind of scary stories screw with your mind and leave behind the lingering doubt that maybe, somewhere, it really happened. Expert yarn spinners with the Dallas Storytelling Guild will weave spooky stories of spirits and the undead for teenagers and adults tomorrow and Halloween night at the Bath House Cultural Center. Count on someone sharing the vintage hair-raising tale about the Lady of White Rock Lake. Ghost Tales at the Lake begins at 8 p.m. both nights. For tickets and more information visit dallasstorytelling.org.
Fri., Oct. 30, 8 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 31, 8 p.m., 2009
