There's nothing more heartwarming than a message about humanity. Well, maybe...if you throw in some pearly white costumes, lyrics and some groovy dance moves, you've got yourself both a deep, philosophical message and a guaranteed hit. At least that's Uptown Players' philosophy. Join them for their production of Breathe, an award-winning collection of seven musicals celebrating gay and lesbian life. Defy cynicism, embrace the human spirit and open hearts. The production stars Brandi Andrade, Souk Burrows, Katherine Gentsch, Carlos Gomez and Sergio Garcia and is directed by Bruce Coleman. The production runs through November 7. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays at KD Studio Theatre, 2600 N. Stemmons Freeway, No. 180. Tickets are $25 to $30. For more information, call 214-219-2718 or visit uptownplayers.org.
