What's better than helping people out? Staying in shape and helping people out--in cool weather! Whether you've practiced or not, the third annual Help the Homeless Walkathon and 5K is around the corner. Thousands of walkers and joggers will gear up and take a stroll through Dallas to end homelessness. In addition to the race, there will be a family fun walk, food, music and fun activities. Proceeds will be used to support Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance, the area's only centralized multi-service campus for care and housing. Entry fees are $30 until Friday, $35 on event day, $15 for children and $70 for the family package that includes two adult entries and two child entries. The race starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Dallas City Hall Plaza. For more information, visit helpthehomelessdallas.org.
