Some folks treat weight loss as a private matter, quietly undertaken with the help of a personal chef or a diet book and a low-profile scale that neatly tucks into a bathroom cabinet between weight checks. Others need the accountability of a group, complete with motivational speeches, calorie calculators and recorded weekly weigh-ins. Then again, why stop at a Weight Watchers meeting in a suburban strip mall when your excess poundage could be the key to reality-television stardom? If you've always wanted to have your weight displayed in huge type on a video screen while millions of viewers cheer or jeer at home, jete on over to the Dallas auditions for Season 2 of Dance Your Ass Off. While you might be one of the 12 chosen to "shake and rattle your rolls" (a quote straight from the Oxygen Network), it's also possible that no matter what you do, your ass will stay right where it is. The open casting will be held on Saturday at the Powerhouse of Dance, 12300 Inwood Road, No. 124, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come dressed to dance with your completed application, which can be found at castingduo.com.
