I feel old. I find myself scratching my head and thinking, "These kids today with their apps and their GPS tracking devices and their digital everythings." It's mind-boggling sometimes that people announce where they are and post updates, etc. But one digital application I can get behind is the artistic process of Kim Cadmus Owens. She uses a computer to adapt images--in this exhibition, of the "urban landscape and vernacular architecture"--into rather unstructured structures, free of their formal purposes and made over with a new colorful, spirited attitude. Holly Johnson Gallery, 1411 Dragon St., hosts Cadmus Owens' Between the Lines Tuesdays through Saturdays through December 24. Call 214-369-0169 or visit hollyjohnsongallery.com.
Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: Nov. 21. Continues through Dec. 24, 2009
