If you dig on Christmas, you've got two days for which you (or someone near you) are going to have to bust ass to create a fab dinner. Traditionally, my family takes the more casual appetizer and tamale approach on Christmas Eve, but Stephan Pyles could tempt us away. At Stephan Pyles (1807 Ross Ave., 214-580-7000) and Samar by Stephan Pyles (2100 Ross Ave., 214-922-9922), an Eve din-din can be procured from the regular menu. A few other restaurants are providing not only Eve nosh, but Christmas Day fare as well...and well, if you're not one to slave in the kitchen, I highly recommend you take note. Canary Cafe (5100 Belt Line Road in Addison, 972-503-7080) offers half-off steak and shrimp at a cool $22 (regularly $44). Nana at Hilton Anatole (2201 Stemmons Freeway, 214-761-7470) kicks out a fab four-course Christmas brunch ($79 per adult, with a three-course $24 option for the 12 and younger crowd). And Dragonfly Restaurant and Lounge at Hotel Zaza (2332 Leonard St., 214-550-9500) also dishes up a holiday four-course at $75 per person, and I have to be honest, I tend to favor Dragonfly...but that might have something to do with their pepperminty, white chocolatey Feliz Navi-Za cocktail. Vodka noms make Christmas dinners brighter after all. So, you may think you still want to serve up dinner at home, but do you want to do the dishes afterward? That's what I thought. All restaurants listed require reservations, so get to dialin'.
