When you're growing up, people say Mom always knows best. And for the most part, they're right, but there comes a time in everyone's life when you just have to grow up, move out and take your dirty laundry with you. Come on, you knew it had to happen sometime. Mom is wiping away her tears as we speak. Well, at least Esme is. In this year's production of Amy's View, Esme is a powerful career woman and a well-known actress in the London theater. Worried about way more than where her next gig is going to come from, Esme must come to terms with her daughter's arrogant and anti-artistic boyfriend named Dominic. After all, Amy isn't a little girl anymore. The play takes place over a span of 15 years, exploring the sometimes difficult relationship between mother and daughter. The production is directed by Jac Alder and stars Connie Coit and Danielle Pickard. It runs at Theatre Three, 2800 Routh St., from Thursday through January 31. Tickets are $10 to $40.
