As if art isn't already complex enough--just deciding on a simple idea can take weeks--providing an entrance to understanding the broad universe of geometric abstraction through art sounds impossible for someone who isn't used to creating anything but stick figures on a sheet of paper. Movement, Light, Space, Time, Dimension and Color includes artists from countries such as Brazil, France and Japan in an exhibit that shows the divergence of the paths to understanding universal concepts and geometric abstraction and where they meet again in spite of geo-cultural disparity. Catch it now through March 7 at the Museum of Geometric and MADI Art, 1109 Carlisle St. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays; admission is free.
