Chinese New Year

Typically we celebrate New Year's with drinking copious amounts of booze, wearing funny hats and counting down to midnight with Dick Clark. Not so much for the Chinese New Year. Their main traditions are cooking a family dinner and cleaning the house from top to bottom to make room for good luck. If you do feel like celebrating but want to skip the mop and broom part, let me suggest visiting Central Market Fort Worth (4651 West Freeway) this Monday, February 15. Dorothy Huang will help you celebrate the Year of the Tiger by teaching you how to prepare a Chinese feast. On the menu for demonstration will be lettuce wraps and pomegranate chicken among other things. For more information, call 817-377-9005.
