Perhaps the exact reason Christopher Ciccone would not want you to give his art attention is arguably the only one that would cause you to give it a second look: he's Madonna's brother. Yes, that Madonna. The jilted sibling of one of pop culture's greatest icons is a person too! And with a talent all his own. Credited for video and tour production, as well as interior design, Ciccone is most famous for his memoir, Life With My Sister Madonna, a book which, to everyone's lackluster surprise, paints a less than flattering picture of the mystery that is Madge. However, his talent, it seems, reaches past genetic association and on to canvas, film, glassine...or whatever blank surface is available within his reach. We'll see. For those interested in a show that "comprises and defines my 'Hollywood' period," HCG Gallery invites you to view The Art of Christopher Ciccone. Also on display at the exhibit will be snapshots set to appear in his upcoming book of erotic poetry and photography, and of course, a tour video reel featuring the sister he seems keen to hate to love. The exhibit starts Saturday and runs through March 6 at the HCG Gallery, 1130 Dragon St., Suite 190. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call 214-760-9230 or visit hcggallery.com.
