Royal Wave At The Irish Guard

Being a part of the royal family definitely has its perks. I mean, what could be better than being the Queen of England? For one, she wakes up in a palace every day, but even more mind-blowing is the fact that she pretty much has her own 49-piece group of musicians. The Band of the Irish Guard plays for events such as the Mounting of the Queen's Guard at Buckingham Palace, special events and the Queen's Birthday Parade. After touring extensively in countries like Australia, Germany, Chile and Japan, the band will make its debut tour through the U.S. to show off its concert band, marching band, salon orchestr' and much, much more. One of the band's most unique honors was being the first band to ever play in the Imperial Palace in the presence of the Empress and the two Crown Princesses. The Band of the Irish Guard will make its stop in Fort Worth on Monday at the Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Calhoun streets. The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets range from $25.50 to $78.
