Usually, an empty bowl is a bad thing, like if your cat is hungry, or your pipe needs to be refilled. But sometimes, it's a great thing, like an empty toilet bowl, or Empty Bowls 2010, a Tarrant Area Food Bank art luncheon that helps fight hunger. For $35, you get admission to the event and a keepsake bowl from among over 2,000 bowls contributed by local artisans and studios. This year's event is at 11 a.m. in the East Room of the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall at Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 W. Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth. Eat soups and desserts catered by 22 restaurants and caterers, attend a silent art auction, and help families in need. For tickets, call 817-332-9177 or visit tafb.org/events.
Fri., Feb. 19, 11 a.m., 2010
