Let's be honest here, being a woman is awesome. And every year, the Kim Dawson Attitudes & Attire Luncheon and Fashion Show sums up the major reasons why: 1.) Women are smart and strong. 2.) Um, hello. Awesome clothes. 3.) Yeah, OK, the camaraderie and charity between women is pretty outstanding. And after 13 years, the women of Attitudes & Attire are still coming up with innovative ways to teach their sisters how to be confident and, ultimately, self-sufficient (seriously, the Hopeful Smiles project is astounding). This year, the annual fund-raising luncheon and fashion show honors Caroline Rose Hunt and features the designs of Paulette Martsolf, the designer of Allie-coosh, a line that blends elegant ethnic flair with classic lines and easy-care fabrics. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Grand Pavilion of the Dallas Trade Mart, 2100 N. Stemmons Freeway. Tickets are $100 and are available by e-mailing avalencia@attitudesandattire.org.
