Everyone loves a good deal, and you're sure to find one this weekend at the Museum of Geometric and MADI Art (3109 Carlisle St.) as they kick off the spring season with a double exhibit. Shine On, featuring the works of local artist Pamela Nelson, and RE: Constructions, by former Dallasite Heather Marcus, will light up the walls of the museum, showing viewers the softer, more colorful, side of geometry. The opening reception for both artists starts at 6:30 p.m. (5:30 p.m. for members) Friday, and both exhibits will be on display through June 6. Admission is free to the public. Call 214-855-7802 or visit geometricmadimuseum.org.
Tuesdays-Fridays, Sundays. Starts: March 12. Continues through June 6, 2010
