When Blarney Meets Stone

After a few days it seems your liver is finally recovering from Saturday's St. Patrick's Day parade. But then the realization hits you: St. Patrick's Day is actually Wednesday. You thought you were done drinking green beer and listening to bagpipe music? Wahahahahaha--no way are you done drinking green beer and listening to bagpipe music. The Old Monk's celebration begins bright and early at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, with corned beef and cabbage, Guinness beef stew, and fish and chips on the menu till 10 p.m. Considering the line-up of entertainment--Irish dancers at 4 p.m., Homespun Remedies at 5 p.m., a live bagpiper at 7:30 p.m. and the mighty RTB2 at 9 p.m.--you'll also have plenty of time to let that delicious Irish cuisine marinate in a belly full of green beer (or one of the Old Monk's many other fine selections). So head on down to 2847 N. Henderson Ave. and practice your fake cough, 'cause you are definitely calling in sick Thursday. Call 214-821-1880 or visit oldmonkdallas.com.
