Michael Minus Michael

This week, Michael Ian Black's gonna be speaking at the University of North Texas. The press release says Black's most famous for his commentary on VH1's I Love the '70s/'80s/'90s series, but I recognize him as "That Dude From Stella," "The One in the Super Short Shorts in Wet Hot American Summer" and as the brilliant author behind the children's book Chicken Cheeks. It's a book that is all about animal butts. And you bet your ass there's a YouTube video of him reading it in a chicken costume. He had a show on Comedy Central called Michael and Michael Have Issues, but it just got canceled. Which sucks for him, but it means he has time to come to UNT! Michael Ian Black will speak 8 p.m. Wednesday as part of the UNT Fine Arts Series at Winspear Hall inside the UNT Murchison Performing Arts Center, located along the north side of Interstate 35E at North Texas Boulevard. Tickets are $20, $10 for students who don't attend UNT, seniors, and UNT faculty and staff. Admission is free for UNT students. That's right: Freeeeee!! Get tickets at the Murchison box office, call 940-369-7802 or visit theMPAC.com.
Wed., March 31, 8 p.m., 2010
