Strippers and trailer parks and intrigue, oh my! Armadillo Acres--a trailer park populated by bleached blondes and men in dirty wife beaters--is home, sweet home to high school sweethearts Jeannie and Norbert. But there's trouble brewing inside their love nest on wheels. An agoraphobic Jeannie refuses to leave their trailer for the Ice Capades, so Norbert picks up Pippi, a stripper (hopefully clad in clear heels) on the run from an ex-boyfriend with murder on his mind. Jerry Springer ain't got nothin' on these people. A cackling trio—--a dumb blonde Greek chorus--sings gems like this ode to a hot day: "Though you'd trade your left tit for a dip in the pool, ain't no sense wantin' what you can't have." Ah, dreams. The off-Broadway darling The Great American Trailer Park Musical begins Friday and runs through May 29 at the Circle Theatre, 230 W. Fourth St. in Fort Worth. Tickets are $15 to $35. Show times are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. This musical is R-rated, so leave the kiddies at home.
