Sideshow

There's a lot of weird stuff out there, and the popularity of The Human Centipede pretty much puts into perspective how many people like the stranger stuff in life. Photographers Jimmy and Dena Katz can appreciate that, and have documented the sideshow acts from World of Wonders, a traveling showcase of the freakier side of human existence. The Katzes have captured the Headless Woman, the Human Blockhead, Spider Girl and more in this bizarre yet respectful collection of portraits. Jimmy Katz will also present the audio interviews he captured while following this traveling troupe. The PDNB gallery will feature the Katzes' other collection as well--portraits of iconic jazz masters such as Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock and Dizzy Gillespie. The exhibition runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through June 12 at Photographs Do Not Bend, 1202 Dragon St. Call 214-969-1852 or visit pdnbgallery.com.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: May 14. Continues through June 12, 2010
