Your Baseball Season Guide to Pre- and Post-Game Eats and Drinks in Arlington
By Lauren Drewes Daniels
Unlike many of their peers who rode New Wave to fame in the early '80s only to end up as dusty, record-store memories, the Psychedelic Furs are still alive and touring. Thank John Hughes for that; after all, having the classic 1986 romantic-comedy/coming-of-age film Pretty in Pink named after the band's then-five-year-old song was a pretty sweet deal that only required them to re-record and sax it up for the soundtrack.

And it was hardly their only hit: The Furs produced some undeniably timeless tracks over the years, with "Love My Way," "Heaven" and "The Ghost In You", and it's safe to assume that the band will be including these hits, as well as "Pretty in Pink," in their upcoming Dallas performance. These are, after all, the songs that have kept the London New Wavers together (on and off) and touring for well more than three decades and, more often than not, to sold-out crowds.
Los Angeles-based post-punk act She Wants Revenge opens the show in a pairing that makes sense enough—the band's sound is plenty indebted to the Furs and their peers.
