Looking for ways to keep your kids busy and productive this summer? Want to add some exotic selections to your household repertoire? Central Market in Plano offers cooking workshops for kids and teens, and in July they are offering instruction on one of the most popular and versatile ingredients out there: peanuts. Participants in the "Peanutty Fun!" class will learn how to whip up familiar treats and new discoveries, including Peanut Butter Puppy Chow, Thomas Jefferson's Peanut Soup and Elvis;' favorite, Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwiches--and they will have fun doing it. You might even get a night off from cooking! The one-day workshops run Monday through July 15 at 10 a.m., and each day is for a different age group. The Plano store is at 320 Coit Road. For details and registration call 469-241-8389 or visit cookingschoolsofamerica.com/centralmarketplano.
