Code Breakers

Who doesn't like art with a code? The thrilling idea of staring at an old master and discovering the cryptic message, "So dark the con of man..." Well, no guarantees that Messages With a Code: Photography/Mixed Media Installations by Kathy Lovas will set you on any kind of DaVinci Code adventure, but maybe you'll discover something new and exciting as you view "Friday Scribbles," a collection of drawings rendered in embroidered format. Or perhaps you'll find a hidden rhythm in Lovas' "Ten Degrees of Separation," a set of manipulated photos of human faces that raises questions about the nature of individual identity. View these Messages With a Code at Norwood Flynn Gallery, 3318 Shorecrest Drive, beginning with an open house from noon to 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission to the exhibit is free. Call 214-351-3318 or visit norwoodflynngallery.com.
Wednesdays-Saturdays. Starts: July 10. Continues through July 31, 2010
