All the Wine is All for You
It's the end of summer, and there are plenty of things to celebrate: the end of the hellish heat, for example; the end of a sartorial season that saw rompers on grown women, for chrissakes; and the beginning of football. And grapes, of course. Because nothing signals the onset of the cooler fall season like sitting on a patio with a nice glass of wine or a cool sangria and drinking until your cheeks flush, your head spins a little, and you get the warm fuzzies that only a good red or white can give you. In recognition of that, the 24th Annual GrapeFest invites you to taste an almost infinite number of varieties, observe the genius of wine in many, many ways, and even stomp some on grapes yourself. A carnival and midway will be available for the enjoyment of the under-21 set, and of course, there will be plenty of culinary delights to pair with your GrapeFest experience. The event will be held in historic downtown Grapevine from Thursday through Monday and is free all day Thursday and on Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Otherwise, admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children over six and seniors, and free for kids under six.
